ABOUT LIBBY

Libby McKay is an artist, author, illustrator, intuitive, and auntie living in Ojai, CA. She bridges the seen and unseen worlds through visuals, work with individuals, and tells stories that inspire curiosity with nature and ourselves.

And lots of animals.

Libby’s work with children, adults, and animals inspires her to create colorful and immersive space to grow, explore, and expand imaginations.

Libby’s intuition helps her connect with both the seen and unseen worlds offering one-on-one sessions for people and animals. It also inspires her to create art, illustrations, and tell stories for children that spark curiosity about nature and self.

Libby’s mission is to help create a more compassionate, curious, and loving world while inspiring future generations to share their unique light with the Universe.

I feel that compassion is our way through—if we give a little more of it to ourselves and to each other, we’re going to be okay.

the storyteller

Libby loves to tell stories for children with messages that can be heard by adults, too. She believes in taking big concepts about the Universe, nature, and feelings and simplifying them so children can learn and be a part of the conversation of life.

As a child, Libby was captivated by the natural environments of animals—as though she could immerse herself in them. She uses these memories to create colorful worlds and stories for kids to connect with themselves, explore with nature, and expand their imaginations.

Her debut card deck and guidebook, The Tiny Wild, Earth and Animal Wisdom, is a collection of conversations and stories between animals and children.

the intuitive

Libby uses her intuition as an inner compass in all of her work. She offers one-on-one sessions for both people and animals—helping people turn inward, heal, and strengthen their own intuition, and giving animals a supportive voice and healing presence in their lives.

Her work with animals is deeply sacred. She sees them as divine gifts to us and the planet. Whether they live in our homes or roam wild across the world, connecting with them offers a pathway back to ourselves.

the artist

Libby accesses the unseen worlds through vision and dream. The visuals she sees are not always easy to capture in physical form. It’s through a visionary feeling that the form takes shape. Libby’s intention with her work is to evoke an essence within us that is greater than words and even the visuals themselves can convey. It’s a knowing and remembering of our soul.
